As a dyslexia interventionist, I provide K–12 students with structured literacy instruction grounded in the principles of Orton-Gillingham. Lessons are systematic, explicit, multisensory, and tailored to meet the individual needs of each learner.

As an experienced educator and thought leader, I deliver engaging, research-based learning experiences that empower K–12 educators and leaders. As a John Maxwell Certified Speaker, my mission is to inspire transformation in literacy by helping leaders understand their role in creating meaningful change. Effective leaders must model the path forward to guide others with clarity, purpose, and impact.

I support school leaders in their literacy transformation by facilitating meaningful conversations around Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS). Together, we examine how to align evidence-based instruction with the systems, structures, and practices needed to support growth for all students from kindergarten through 12th grade. Sustainable literacy improvement occurs when strong goals are matched with the systems necessary to bring those goals to life.
I served as a public school educator for 33.5 years, teaching third, fifth, sixth, and seventh grades with a focus on literacy. Throughout my career, I held roles as a District Reading Specialist, Literacy Interventionist, Middle School Reading Specialist, and Literacy Coach, supporting students and educators in developing effective literacy practices. I earned a Master’s degree in Reading from the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh and achieved National Board Certification in Early Adolescence English. I am also a Certified Structured Literacy Dyslexia Interventionist and have completed LETRS training.

“Leadership is influence, nothing more, nothing less.” This quote from John Maxwell captures the true essence of leadership: the ability to positively impact others through vision, action, and purpose. As a certified John Maxwell leader, I have developed the skills and understanding to apply leadership principles within the field of literacy. This training has strengthened my ability to support educators and leaders in creating meaningful change by connecting effective leadership practices with literacy transformation.
